Miniature Wonderland Is Now On Instagram!

I'm happy to announce that Miniature Wonderland is now on Instagram! :)
Due to my daily activities, it might not possible for me to regularly posting on the blog. Well, I've planned to make at least one post every weekend, but I guess it doesn't work that way.. (Am I the only one who feel this or do you have the same experience..?)
So I would like to thank you anyone who invented this kind of technology, at least I could post anything, anywhere. If you don't find me blogging for a long time, please check me on my instagram.
I'm hoping this will keep Miniature Wonderland alive, and will keep inspiring everyone:) If you have instagram account, you can find and follow me easily, just click the link or button bellow!

Another progress on the Mini Store Project

Here are some pictures I took from my miniature project. It's almost done! but I feel like I need to put some details in the scene..

I got the wall cabinet, shovel and garden fork from my dear friend Ira, Merry Jingle Crafts. I wonder how is she doing now..

Sometimes I feel like I'm stuck. I have no idea what should I do with details to make the scene more realistic :(.  I'm desperate for inspirations!! Lately I've been busy with my wedding preparations (yes, I'm getting married :):) ), my fiance and I are looking for a house now, and we found that its not easy to find a perfect house for us. So hopefully, I will find the house, and the inspirations.. soon.. :)
And of course, I will be more than happy to hear any ideas about what details should I make to make it more realistic :)

Hope everyone have a great week!

Hugs,

Christina

My love for cakes and dessert

I never realize how much I love cakes and dessert until yesterday, I went out with my dear friend who just moving back home after living in Toronto for 8 years. She told me that she got something for me. Yes, its Mille Crepe, one of my favorite cake. Well, someone is finally open a home made mille crepe for online order in town.
She gave me lemon mille crepe, and I promise her to make a mini version of it. So this is it, my mille crepe cake, especially made for my dear friend Finency, and to everyone in this blog. Enjoy!

What I've been doing lately..

So this is what I've been doing lately. I'm back to the roombox project which I've abandoned for years.
These are the first few pictures of my first miniature general store roombox. I still have a lot of works to do to make it more alive. I'm working on the front desk now, hope it will turns out great :)

Some of the closer look

I love how this turns out. What do you think? :)

Europe Trip

Traveling abroad is always exciting. But nothing beat the excitement when i finally arrive at Malpenza Airport in Milan. It was a very long and exhausting flight. This is my first time flying out from Asia, where everything was so familiar, to the new place where everything was so different and new for me.
From Milan to Luzern, and Paris for last stop, there are many interesting places, and beautiful scenery I've seen. I got all the awesome experience ; "lost in time" when I walked around under the soaring glass dome of Galeria Vittorio Emanuelle II and standing in the shadow of Milan Cathedral, calm and relax feeling when cycling around the park at Luzern Lake, mesmerized by the beauty of Eiffel tower at night, and all the beauty of scenery along the way. I love these places and I promise myself that I will go back again someday..

The Park around the Luzern Lake, and its me, cycling around the lake :)

The beauty of Eiffel tower at night. Breathtakingly beautiful..

And its me again, outside the Miniature World, La Boite Jojoux Paris
I got some time for hunting some mini supplies!

I found this nice quote, at Malpenza Airport, Milan ; "Every step I have taken in my life has led me here"
Have a nice day everyone! :)

Comeback Greetings

Hello everyone,

First of all, i want to apologize for my long hibernation from this blog.
Well, a lot of things have happened, and changed in the past  few years. I am no longer a university student. I have finished my degree and graduated on February 2011. And after that, I directly took a job. It didn't last long, I worked for the company for a few months then I decide to resign from the job. Long story short, I have been wandering around and struggling with everything until this year, I am slowly, but steadily getting back on my feet again.
I never forget how much I love the miniature world. I followed some updates from miniatures pages on facebook, and wondering when will I be back? I feel like I never have time to make minis, or explore what I could create in mini scale.
Last month, I went to Bali and meet my friend, she is the owner of MNO.logie accessories line. She made a very beautiful transparent clutch bag (you can find it on Etsy). She gave me encouragement to pursue my dream, and she told me that I have to do something with what I am passionate about as soon as possible, before I get too old. She also told me this ; "when you look back on your life, you'll regret the things you didn't do more than the ones you did."
So, I make this post, my very first post after a long time absent, as a come back greeting. I will blog again, and for sure I will make minis again. This is the new beginning of Miniature Wonderland. I will probably make some changes in this blog, and I'm also thinking about selling my work online. There are so many things to do! I will write my real post after I get back from Europe (yes, I'm going to Europe next week *so exciting*).
Last but not least, I hope, my story will inspire you to do anything that you passionate about. Miniature world is my passion, and will always be. What about you? :)

Mini hugs,

Christina
